Walking as Children of Light: Highlights from Accelerate Magazine May 2026

Welcome to our May update! As we move through this year, we are reflecting on the theme of "Clarity"—not just the educational clarity of learning scopes, but the moral and spiritual clarity that shapes the souls of our students.

The Teacher as a Beacon: Walking in the Light

In this month’s lead message, Senior Ps. Slabbert Pretorius explores Ephesians 5:6–10. In a world filled with "empty words" and blurred lines, educators are called to a higher standard. We aren't just teaching subjects; we are modeling a way of being.

Ps. Pretorius challenges us to be the thermostat, not the thermometer. A thermometer simply reflects the temperature of a rowdy or anxious classroom, but a thermostat sets a new atmosphere through peace and clarity.

The spiritual "Report Card" for our classrooms includes three markers:

  • Goodness: Do students feel cared for as individuals?

  • Righteousness: Is our discipline and grading fair, transparent, and consistent?

  • Truth: Are we teaching with integrity and a bold Biblical worldview?

Kath Farewell

A Change of Seasons: Farewell to Kathy Fisher

After 25 years of dedicated service with A.C.E., our editor Kathy Fisher has announced her retirement this July. Reflecting on Ecclesiastes 3:1, Kathy reminds us that God is the author of every season.

"I thank God that He has taken me on many adventures... my adventures with God are not over, just changing direction." We thank Kathy for her passion for seeing people fulfill their purpose in God and wish her the richest blessings in this next phase of life.

Unity College

Strengthening the Next Generation: Unity College Australia

Global Momentum: Focus on Indonesia

This month, we shine a spotlight on the incredible growth in Indonesia, a nation of over 18,000 islands and a vibrant young population.

  • Rhema En Cara School: Founded in 2004, this school has grown from 20 kindergarteners to a full K-12 program. Their logo—the Eagle—represents the strong character that emerges from a life rooted in the Word of God.

  • Life Community School (LCS): Celebrating 16 years in West Jakarta, LCS is pioneering "Real World Science." Their Eco-Enzyme program was recently featured on national television (Kompas TV)!

Updates from the Media Desk

Our digital presence is more active than ever! Ps. Karl and Ps. Nathan report that we have been "pumping out reels" on Facebook and Instagram.

  • Share Your Story: We want to hear from you! If you have a testimony of what God is doing in your school or a graduate success story, please email your-A.C.E.-story@scee.edu.au.

Procedures Pointers

Stay on top of your Learning Centre standards with our new "Procedures Pointers," based on the Five Laws of Learning. While these don't replace formal Staff Training, they serve as vital reminders for daily operations, whether you are in a large school or at a dining table at home.

Stirring Up the Flame: April 2026 Communiqué

April 2026 Communique: Updates & School Resources

April 2026 Communique: Faith, Diligence, and Global Updates

A Spirit of Power, Love, and a Sound Mind In this SCEE April 2026 update, we reflect on Paul’s second letter to Timothy. Paul wrote from a place of spiritual urgency, recognizing that Timothy was facing a season of fear.

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." — 2 Timothy 1:7

When we feel the "sour taste of quiet fear," we must remember that God provides His actual power. By "stirring up" our spiritual gifts, we find the strength to lead with integrity and serve our students effectively.

Academic Integrity: A.C.E. and Learning Gaps

As part of our SCEE April 2026 mission to maintain excellence, we are addressing the increase in schools bypassing Diagnostic Testing. While A.C.E. is accelerated, it is built on mastery learning.

  • Sequential Learning: Skipping PACEs creates foundational gaps.

  • Diagnostic Testing: All new students must be tested and placed at their performance level.

A.C.E. Alumni: Celebrating Success in Jakarta

Celebrating Our A.C.E. Alumni Success in Jakarta

A.C.E. Alumni Shine at Jakarta Celebration

At the heart of every educational journey is the community it builds, and nothing proves that more than our incredible A.C.E. Alumni. At the beginning of March, it was a true honour to host an exclusive Alumni event in Jakarta for our Indonesian graduates.

Why We Value Our A.C.E. Alumni

Celebrating our graduates is about more than just a reunion; it’s about honoring the "long game" of character-based education. These events allow us to witness the remarkable individuals our students become. From entrepreneurs to community leaders, the impact of the A.C.E. program is visible in every success story.

Highlights from Jakarta

The Jakarta gathering was a vibrant exchange of shared history and diverse futures. Graduates swapped stories of "Pace" deadlines and favorite supervisors, proving that the bond of an A.C.E. education lasts a lifetime.

Join the Global Network

This event was just the beginning. We are committed to fostering this community across the region. We encourage you to visit the Accelerated Christian Education official site to see how our global curriculum continues to shape lives.

Semarang Educators Conference: 2026

Semarang Educators Conference: The Future of A.C.E.

What an incredible finish to the Semarang Educators Conference!

As the final sessions wrap up at Semarang Educators Conference, the atmosphere remains electric and full of divine purpose. We are truly inspired by the passion of the educators here. Specifically, everyone is committed to one goal: raising a generation that knows they are Righteous in Christ.

Empowering Students Through Faith at Semarang Educators Conference

The heart of this conference was not just about administration. Instead, it focused on the spiritual roadmap we provide for our students. By grounding children in the truth of Jesus, we empower them to face the world with grace. Furthermore, we believe Christian education is more than an alternative to secular schools. It is a vital ministry that shapes the eternal destiny of the next generation. This mission requires our full heart and dedication every single day.

The Vision of A.C.E. and Accelerate

The future of Christ-centered education through A.C.E. and Accelerate is exceptionally bright. Throughout the event, we saw how these curriculum pathways continue to innovate. They provide the tools necessary for students to master academics while growing in character. Consequently, the synergy between these programs and the church-school model is creating a global impact. This positive impact starts right here in Semarang and reaches out to the world.

As we depart, we carry more than just notes. We carry a renewed fire. We are heading back to our classrooms with the knowledge that our work is bearing fruit. In addition, the dedication witnessed this week proves a powerful point. When we put Christ at the center, the potential for our students is limitless.

Thank you to everyone who made this event a success. Therefore, let us continue to build, lead, and teach with conviction. Our students are called to greatness in His Kingdom. The journey continues!

Inspiring Moments: Jakarta Educators Conference 2026 Recap

Inspiring Success: Jakarta Educators Conference 2026 Highlights

The Jakarta Educators Conference 2026 was a powerful event for our community. This year, we met for a very clear reason. We want to grow Christ-centered education in this nation and support those on the front lines of teaching. Consequently, as the event ends, we feel very grateful for the time spent together.

A Theme That Anchors Us: Righteous in Christ The main idea of this year’s gathering was "Righteous in Christ." It is often easy to rely on our own skills when we are busy with school life. However, this event reminded us of a simple truth. Our strength and our hope come from Jesus alone. Understanding our standing in Him changes how we lead our classrooms and how we love our students.

Highlights from the Jakarta Educators Conference 2026 The energy all week was great. Specifically, we felt a strong sense of unity during worship and learning. It was a blessing to see so many educators dedicated to the same mission of Biblical excellence.

  • Mastery Learning: Many talks focused on "Mastery Learning." This helps us reach the heart of every student. We discussed how timely feedback can change a student's learning path.

  • New Friends: Furthermore, it was a joy to see A.C.E. teachers from many areas. We talked about our wins and our hard times. These connections are vital for long-term success in ministry.

  • A Big Vision: We stood with leaders who want kids to grow. Therefore, we are more committed than ever to reach "Stronger, Deeper, and Higher" in all our educational goals.

Moving Forward In conclusion, we leave Jakarta with fresh hope and new tools for our schools. Thank you to every teacher who traveled to be with us. You are building a bright future for your kids.

Finally, let’s take this joy back to our classrooms. We do this work because we are made Righteous in Christ. We look forward to seeing the fruit of this week in the months to come.

Indonesia Educators Conference: Empowering the Call

Empowering the Call: The Indonesia Educators Conference

Our team is preparing to depart for the Conference in Indonesia with a clear and powerful mandate. Consequently, we are heading to this Indonesia Educators Conference to equip those on the front lines. This includes teachers, principals, and parents. We want to help them fulfill their God-ordained roles.

A Beacon in the Spiritual Battle

Furthermore, this trip is a response to a significant challenge. We will be a “beacon of light in the middle of darkness.” Our team will minister to schools and educators in a spiritual battle. Therefore, our mission is to bring encouragement and challenge. We want to help these leaders remain led by the Spirit as they teach.

Equipping for the Future at the Indonesia Educators Conference

Indonesia is a nation of amazing potential. In this region, Christianity is strong and growing. During the Conference, we seek to provide:

  • Prophetic Insight: We pray for full wisdom and the Spirit’s power.

  • Strength and Comfort: We ask God to be a comforter for these educators.

  • A Blessing to All: We pray that every encounter is a blessing.

We recognize our amazing calling in the Pacific. Thank you for your prayers as we equip these educators to stand firm.

Update from Fiji: Righteous in Christ, Connected in Mission

Fiji Educators Conference.

Before this year’s Fiji Educators Conference, we were thankful to spend time visiting Fiji Agape Mission School, Nadi Christian Community School, and International Christian Academy.

Opportunities like these don’t always fit into the schedule when travelling to the various CEC’s, so we truly treasure every moment to connect, listen, and celebrate what God is doing through these A.C.E school communities.

New Webstore

New Webstore Launching Soon

Frikkie de Beer, Distribution Manager at Southern Cross Educational Enterprise, has shared an update on the upcoming launch of the new webstore.

The webstore has been in development for quite some time, with active promises made over the last nine months. It is now in the final testing phase, with a tentative launch date set for the 3rd of March, subject to successful regional testing.

The new webstore introduces a much-improved user interface and browsing experience. Users will be able to switch between a list view and a larger grid view when viewing products. A persistent shopping basket will remain visible on the right-hand side of the screen, making it easy to keep track of items while navigating through different subjects. Products can be filtered by subject level, such as Level 6, as well as by specific subjects like Bible Reading or Math. Work on the landing page is still ongoing, and product images are being uploaded.

The checkout process has been designed to be quick and easy. After confirming their address, users can choose between normal or express post and add any specific delivery instructions. A payment section will clearly display the total cost breakdown on the left, and users can then enter their card details to complete the purchase. Within their account area, customers will be able to view previous orders and update their addresses. A new “Contact Us” page will also allow users to send messages about specific issues or subjects directly to the organization’s main info email address.

SCEE is now moving into a final testing phase and will be inviting local schools and homeschool families to help with user experience testing. They are seeking feedback to refine and improve the webstore further and are asking for continued support and prayer as they complete the final steps toward launch.
